Advice on Practice
“Yoga should be practiced with firm determination and perseverance, without any mental reservation or doubts.” Bhagavad Gita
- Because twisting and inverting will be squeezing the digestive organs it’s recommended not to eat for at least 2 hours before practice.
- Wearing comfortable clothes, allows the body to move & breathe freely. As the body temperature will decrease after practice, keeping warm during relaxation is recommended.
- Yoga is always practised in bare feet as wearing socks may be slippery.
- Water cools the internal heat generated by the practice, therefore it is recommended not to drink water during practice but plenty before and after.
- The teacher must be informed of any form of injury, serious illness or pregnancy.
- Whether a beginner or an intermediate, there is no specific style one must do. Different people and bodies respond to different practice. What is important is to find an inspiring teacher to enjoy Yoga.

- Have a regular practice.
- Have patience. Results will not come overnight but with consistent effort, shorter than expected.
